About Creative MinistriesCreative Ministries was set up in 2003 to fulfil a need for usable, dynamic, computer resources for churches and other Christian organisations. After ten years working in the commercial IT industry, CM's founder, Phil Webb, became increasingly aware of a need to use his gifts in a more productive way for God's work: "God was able to take various circumstances in my commercial workplace to remind me that He has a plan for me, and if only I would turn to Him and ask Him for His guidance, He would gradually reveal that plan to me. As I sought to present back to God the gifts and skills he's given to me, several things happened in quick succession. At our church we had decided to run a pilot of the Network course which I was able to attend. Network helps you to identify, through personal inspection and independent consultation, the passions and gifts that you have, so that ultimately you can find ways to use the gifts you've been given in glorifying God and building up His Church. During the course, I had various conversations about the website I'd developed for our church (www.gloucestersalvationarmy.org.uk) and during my consultations it became clear that my passion for communication, coupled with my gifts in creative communication and faith, gave me a great opportunity to work for God more directly. There is a hymn which speaks of our own personal commitment to God and His work:All that I am, all I can be,At various events this hymn was used 3 or 4 times during a period of 3 weeks, and these words, particularly, Take every passion, every skill, take all my dreams and bend them to your will spoke to me, as I looked at how I personally wanted to move forward in terms of my career. A week at Spring Harvest in Minehead was the real clincher, as the theme for the week was 'Your connection to the mission of God' - so many discussions, comments, sermons which were so applicable to my situation, that God was clearly using this event to confirm His plan for me. So welcome to Creative Ministries! I hope that you'll return in time to see how we progress, in our journey with God, as well as in our projects with churches, but most of all I pray that you will find your place in God's plan."
